What is Tribunals Watch

If the twentieth century was the date for drawing the initial features and provided the basic means for describing, analyzing, evaluating and denouncing gross violations of human rights and the environment, the ambition of global civil society was that the twenty-first century should be the century of transition to mechanisms of accountability for these violations.

This platform is an attempt to monitor and follow up on the various forms of accountability, national, regional, and international, and across the large institutions concerned with the matter, with an evaluation of the performance of these institutions through a concrete case, which is the Palestinian case.

This platform is supervised by an elite group of HR Defenders, jurists, judges, and lawyers.

Si le XXe siècle a été la date pour dessiner les premiers traits et conventions, et a fourni les moyens de base pour décrire, analyser, évaluer et dénoncer les violations flagrantes des droits de l’homme et de l’environnement, alors l’ambition de la société civile mondiale était que le XXIe siècle soit le siècle de transition vers des mécanismes de responsabilisation et accountability pour ces violations.

Cette plateforme est une tentative de surveillance et de suivi des différentes formes d’accountability: nationale, régionale et internationale, et à travers les grandes institutions concernées par la question, avec une évaluation de la performance de ces institutions à travers un cas concret, qui est le cas palestinien.

Cette plateforme est supervisée par un groupe d’élite de juristes, juges et avocats et défenseurs des droits humains.

إن كان القرن العشرين قد أرخ لرسم المعالم الأولية وقدم الوسائل الأساسية للوصف والتحليل والتقييم والاستنكار للانتهاكات الجسيمة لحقوق الإنسان والبيئة، فإن طموح المجتمع المدني العالمي كان في ضرورة أن يكون القرن الواحد والعشرين قرن الانتقال إلى آليات المحاسبة على هذه الانتهاكات.

هذا المنبر، هو محاولة رصد ومتابعة لأشكال المحاسبة المختلفة، وطنية وإقليمية ودولية، وعبر المؤسسات الكبيرة المعنية بالأمر، مع تقييم لأداء هذه المؤسسات عبر حالة عيانية  هي الحالة الفلسطينية.
